UC&CS America (United Consulting & Corporate Services America) was founded in 1995 in México City by certified public accountants from the four largest firms in Mexico. These founders had recognized the need for an association of accounting and auditing firms at an international level to manage clients abroad, with the same quality standards held by their own firms. Soon the association had expanded throughout most of Latin America.
UC&CS firms operate in most of the main financial centers in the
Americas, and are divided into three regions for organizational purposes:
- North America
Includes Canada, the United States, and Mexico
- Central America, the Caribbean, and the Andes Mountain
Includes
Guatemala, El Salvador, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Panama, Dominican Republic,
Colombia, Venezuela and Peru.
- The South Cone
Includes
Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Chile and Paraguay.
UC&CS’s competitive
advantage lies in our personal service and the Latin touch we offer to our
clients, who come from the continent’s many Spanish-speaking regions. We
also have partners who speak Italian, Portuguese, English, and French.
Our quality standards are laid out in the by-laws of the firm, the
Strategic Association Agreement signed by all the new members entering the
association, and the Corporate Policies Manual.
Operationally, we
have high quality standards sustained by an auditing methodology, a
compilation of the fiscal systems in the Americas (TAXES IN AMERICA), a
compilation of the IFRS in the Americas (INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL REPORTING
STANDARDS), and an auditing software designed specifically for use in the
Americas.
Currently UC&CS America has a network with 184 offices in 53
countries, and more than 2040 professionals managed by 269 partners. The
association has an income of over 119 million dollars.
